Sales Rookie is built on the values of honesty, transparency, and free speech. We believe that transparency and open communication between employer and employee reduces risk of exploitation, improves morale, and fosters a business relationship of mutual trust and respect. 

 

• Sales Rookie will not edit or alter the content of any reviews; even for grammar or punctuation.

• Sales Rookie will always maintain neutrality in the event of a dispute.

• Sales Rookie verifies the validity of user accounts through email verification or social networking account verification.

• Sales Rookie has a team of moderators that moderate every flagged post within 24 business hours.

• Sales Rookie will remove any content if we have evidence that the employees were coerced into or incentivized to leave write the content.

• Sales Rookie applies the same standards to all users and content (whether or not the content in question involves a Sales Rookie Business Client)

• We at Sales Rookie believe that anonymity can aid in allowing free speech without fear of retribution

• Sales Rookie allows employers to respond to any and all reviews left about their company

 

 

 

 

Review Guidelines:

 

• Sales Rookie is a site for door to door commission compensated sales reps to review their experience. Employees such as technicians, installers, and others are encouraged to leave reviews on other job review sites.

• Owners, Partners, and Shareholders are not permitted to leave reviews but are encouraged to respond to reviews left by reps by creating a business account.

• Reviewers are encouraged to say something both positive and negative about the company they’re reviewing. Well balanced reviews are generally the most helpful to prospective sales reps. We will not however remove reviews for lack of positive or negative information.

• Reviewers are encouraged to remember that their words can positively or negatively affect people’s livelihoods. This should not be taken lightly.

• Defamation, libel, or slander in any form will not be tolerated

• Reviews may not use the names of any specific individuals. 

  • Job titles such as manager or fellow sales associate may be used so long as the review does not include identifiable information about the individual. 

  • Job titles such as Owner, President, or CEO may be used

• Reviews must contain information relative to the work environment, not solely the product or service provided.

• Reviews may not include any confidential information about employers. This includes: customer lists, detailed financial information, or company specific sales techniques.

• Any reviews deemed to contain obscene, profane, or offensive language or gestures will be removed. 

• Reviews may not contain plugs or recommendations for competing employers. Any review that makes attempts to recruit will be removed.

• Mentions of a specific company should be limited to that company’s page. Any comments, positive or negative should be included in a review specific to the company at hand, not any other review.

• Reviewers should make an effort to write in clear language and avoid slang so that the maximum number of people can understand the review.

• Reviews will be limited to one per employer per year.

• Your review should be truthful and any opinion expressed should be in good faith. Sales Rookie maintains neutrality in cases of factual dispute, so we expect you to stand behind your statements expressed in your review.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note:

The law protects Sales Rookie from legal responsibility for the content submitted by our users, like the reviews that appear on our site. Specifically, the Communications Decency Act of 1996 (47 U.S.C. Sec. 230) created a federal immunity to any cause of action that would make service providers, like Sales Rookie, liable for information originating with a third-party user of the service.

The law is clear on this. Anyone who wishes to sue Sales Rookie for the reviews posted by our members risks penalties imposed by the court. These may include financial sanctions and reimbursement of our attorney's fees for our having to defend against a lawsuit that ignores obvious legal protections for Sales Rookie.
